College Profile

    The KCEF College of Education, Pulwama Kashmir was established in 2002 with as many as 108 B.Ed students. Now it is a biggest College of Education in District Pulwama enrolling more than 300 students at present. The vistas of the College was extended in 2008 when department of law was introduced with as many as 20 students. At present there are about 100 students in different semesters of the law department.

    The College is located on Pulwama Payer Road at a distance of 2 Kms. from Pulwama Bus Stand and 35 Kms. in the South of Srinagar City. The College is presently spread over 30 Kanals of land in a very beautiful place far from madding crowd. A perennial fresh water brook flows on right side of the campus bestowing it a scenic beauty. The location and scenic beauty of the College makes it Tagore’s Shantiniketan (an abode of peace). The exquisite and lush green beauty of the campus renders the entire process of teaching learning into a desirable and pleasurable activity.
    The College is run by a Society namely Kashmir Creative Education Foundation which was established 1998 under the Societies Registration Act. The sole purpose of this society is to further the cause of education of J&K State in general and district Pulwama in particular.

    The College has suitable infrastructure facility with capacious and well ventilated Lecture theaters, enriched library having about 5000 text and reference books, well equipped psychology & Computer Labs., dispensary and canteen, a conference hall and Moot court room etc. The College has a vast play ground in which various sports activities are carried out smoothly. Moreover, the College has hostel facilities for both male and female separately who come from far flung areas of the state. Furthermore the College has fresh drinking water facilities and adequate lavatory blocks separately for both and female students.

    The College has appointed qualified experienced and dedicated teaching faculty members who are committed to academic excellence and innovative teaching as per current global standards. In addition to routine class room teaching out teachers try to inculcate moral values among student teachers to help them in becoming good and responsible teachers and help the society in turn. The College stands affiliated to the University of Kashmir. The preparations are on for getting the institution assessed and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Banglore. The College is on its way to broaden the entire spectrum of higher education in the light of modern trends under the dynamic leadership of the members of the Society.
